WHAT: This week we are finishing up our novel and moving into our CSA. WHY: Students will focus on theme and complete their understanding of a classic, gothic text. HOW: Students will do a chapter study, get into small groups and create thematic posters MONDAY: 1. Chapter 10 Worksheet TUESDAY: 1. Continue Chapter 10 Worksheet 2. Get into small groups and compare quotations WEDNESDAY: 1. Students can get into groups and create a poster over the following topics (WRITE ON BOARD): o Moral Compromise and the novel o Character focus with characteristics, 3 quotations from the novel on the poster, and a visual/drawing of the character o Advertisement for Dr. Jekyll’s potion o Movie Poster for the novel itself o Historical Focus (1800s and morals) 2.
