What: This week we are focused on finishing our personal narrative.
Why: We will finish our first draft and then move into our final draft by the end of the week. How: We will work independently and then do some peer revision as well before turning in the final project by Friday. Monday: 1. Finish film 2. Personal Narrative Tuesday-Wednesday: Personal Narrative Draft One Thursday- Friday: Computer Lab for final draft of personal narrative What: This week we will work on our personal narrative and finishing the novel.
Why: At the end of this novel students will emulate the style of the book and create their own personal narrative. How: We will peer edit, work on our personal narratives, finish the novel, and complete our discussion questions to better our understanding of the book. Monday: 1. Work Day for Personal Narrative HW: NONE Tuesday: 1. Review of Part 3 and Part 4 of novel 2. Complete Discussion Questions in Small Groups Wednesday: 1. Finish up review of novel and reading the rest of the text 2. PART 4 Film Thursday: 1. Personal Narrative Peer Editing 2. Draft One Due Friday: 1. Draft One workshop for Personal Narrative 2. Final Test for novel What: This week we will continue moving through the novel and begin working on selecting our Personal Narrative Topic.
Why: Students will emulate the style of our author and dig into their own history to construct a narrative or image of themselves.
