What: This week we will continue moving through the novel and begin working on selecting our Personal Narrative Topic.
Why: Students will emulate the style of our author and dig into their own history to construct a narrative or image of themselves. What: This week we are getting into our novels so we will focus on the characters, plot, and the major themes.
Why: Focusing on the basics at the start of the novel will help students to better understand the characters in the future. How: We will take a quiz over the first reading assignment, have a partner discussion, and then move into working with themes later in the week. Monday: 1. Quiz over pages 1-26 2.
